Northumbrian Organic Feeds - The Company

Northumbrian Organic Feeds was set up in response to the changing
needs of the local farming community, with the demand for fully
organic status feeds required for the increasing number of northern
and border livestock producers.
Our aim is to produce a quality product that has been grown locally
as well as meeting the highest industry standards. Cereals and
pulses grown here meet the requirements of the Scottish Quality
Cereals (SQC) as well as only purchasing other raw materials from
farm assured businesses.
With Universal Feed Assurance Scheme standard it means that we
can give the final user the confidence to purchase product in
the knowledge that exacting industry standards have been met.
No genetically modified materials are used in the operation.
Northumbrian Organic Feeds is a new business that offers locally
produced feeds for local needs. Because feeds are primarily intended
for local use and raw materials sourced from within the area,
costs and food miles are kept to a minimum, further enhanced with
the opportunity to self collect.
With the demand particularly from organic sheep producers the
second phase of feed production is under way, with the installation
of a milling and pelleting plant, which hopefully should be operational
for the 2008 feeding season.
